Before joining the Universal family in 2001, Stacie was a manager and corporate trainer for a worldwide restaurant chain, an assistant controller for a multi-location brake repair company, and a procurement specialist for the engineering department of a national granite mining company. Upon joining Universal, Stacie managed several properties for 3 years before transitioning to the corporate office as assistant to the VP of Development. Stacie saw a need for growth within Universal and eventually created the Marketing and Training departments. In her current role at USG, Stacie is the Marketing and Training Vice President and Team Leader, and in this dual role, she oversees the branding, design, and marketing programs for the company and for USG’s portfolio of 70+ storage facilities, and she is also responsible for driving the company’s award-winning 4-Phase Manager Training program and New Store Startup (STARS) teams. With over 22 years in the storage industry providing experience at every level of the business, Stacie works closely on USG’s facility-development and transition projects and has been instrumental in USG’s growth and many industry awards and accolades for the last two decades. She holds a BBA in business management as well as a CSSM™ designation from the National Self Storage Association. Stacie enjoys speaking at industry events and contributing to industry publications and is always happy to help managers and operators learn and be successful in self-storage.
